Lincoln review

Penitent justified the market in really good style, but I am absolutely delighted with Smokey Oakey who by coming 4th paid his way nicely at the 27.0 EW.

The bottom line with VDW is that if one properly understands the basic method and waits until a class/horse emerges which meets all the "winner in the race" criteria, the high strike rate VDW claimed is most certainly possible. But looking at a couple of races a day I don't find more than one serious bet every 2-3 weeks on average (only one so far this month). If, however, one picks up the hints VDW gave about what I think of as his more advanced ideas on race analysis, there seem to be additional worthwhile, albeit more speculative, propositions like Smokey Oakey. Anyone interested should analyse today's Rosebery in exactly the same way as I did the Lincoln in last night's post.
